SIM Dragons Row To Victory At DBS Marina Regatta
In a show of might, the SIM Dragonboat team rowed to victory in the 200m Premier Mixed category on the third day of the DBS Marina Regatta held at The Promontory@Marina Bay. Held over two weekends on May 26-27 and June 2-3, the event drew more than 90 dragonboat teams and 3,500 paddlers from the region.

In a show of might, the SIM Dragonboat team rowed to victory in the 200m Premier Mixed category on the third day of the DBS Marina Regatta held at The Promontory@Marina Bay. Held over two weekends on May 26-27 and June 2-3, the event drew more than 90 dragonboat teams and 3,500 paddlers from the region.
This year's win continues the SIM team's winning streak from last year when they clinched first place in both the 500m Tertiary Women and 500m Tertiary Mix categories.
The SIM Dragons (Boat 3) leading the pack in the 200m Premier Mixed category. It was a commendable win as the team who participated this year comprised mostly junior paddlers.
In other categories, the men's team powered through their heats and then the semi-finals to go against top teams in the grand final of the 200m and 500m Premier Open categories. Although they did not come away with any wins, the team was proud that they had put up a good fight against many top teams from the region right to the end.
The event gave the team a valuable exposure and experience as they gear up towards the Singapore Dragon Boat Festival and Prime Minister's Cup in July, where the SIM Dragons are the defending champions in both the Men's and Women's categories.
