Choice & Study Options
Junior Colleges offer a strong academic foundation leading to local universities. Polytechnics focus on hands-on skills and internships. Private Education Institution, such as SIM, provides globally recognised degrees through international partnerships with flexible study options.
SIM partners with leading universities from the UK, US, Australia, and Canada, allowing students to earn the same degree as those studying overseas, at a lower cost and without leaving Singapore.
Yes. SIM’s university partners are globally accredited institutions, including AACSB-accredited business schools, ensuring international recognition and employability.
Full-time study offers an immersive campus experience and faster completion, while part-time study allows working adults to balance career and education with flexible schedules. Full-time classes will be held on weekday morning or afternoon, while part-time classes will be held on weekday evening or weekend.
Yes. SIM offers on-campus and online learning, with blended formats combining flexibility, accessibility, and networking opportunities. However, it may vary depending on the programme or university partner.
Financial Aid & Scholarships
Local universities charge subsidised fees from $7,500 above per year. Overseas studies can exceed $150,000. SIM offers globally recognised degrees at a fraction of overseas costs.
SIM offers multiple scholarships such as the SIM STARRR Award, SIM Award, SIM Sports & Artistic Talent Award, and Diploma Scholarships. These recognise leadership, resilience, and talent (not just academic grades).
Yes. SIM provides Enhanced Financial Aid (up to $13,500), Crisis Fund (up to $5,000), and community bursaries such as the Richard K M Eu-SIM Social Entrepreneurship Centre Fund.
Yes. Eligible Singaporeans can use SkillsFuture Credits and mid-career subsidies of up to 90% for selected SIM Academy courses. However, it is not applicable for SIM Global Education diploma to degree programmes.
Admission & Application
Applicants with GCE ‘A’ Level, IB Diploma, Polytechnic Diploma, SIM Diploma, or international qualifications may apply. Requirements vary by programme and university partner.
SIM accepts GCE ‘O’ Level English, IELTS, TOEFL, Duolingo English Test, or PTE scores. Students who apply to SIM foundation and diploma but do not meet these requirements can take SIM’s Certificate in English Language programme.
Applicants must submit academic transcripts, certificates, proof of English proficiency, identification, and a recent passport-sized photo.
Apply online via the SIM portal, pay the application fee, and upload the required documents. Verification can be done in-person, by Zoom, or via OpenCerts.
Yes. Relevant diploma holders may receive exemptions of up to 1 to 1.5 academic year, allowing them to graduate faster. Terms and condition apply.
