Course Duration: Over a 5-month time frame

The Singapore Government has been a strong driver for sustainability business and living, with the launch of the Singapore Green Plan 2030 and the Net Zero by 2050 initiative.

Companies in Singapore are encouraged to adopt measures to improve their work processes to support the initiative. Major companies such as HP have included sustainability criteria into their procurement and manufacturing process that require all stakeholders, such as suppliers and partners, to comply with them.

The Job of the Chief Sustainability Officer is an emerging role to meet the sustainability focus of companies. They will need to communicate, focus and drive the sustainability mindset in companies.

But over the years, due to changes in the world economic climate and the adoption of technology into our lifestyles, the meaning of employment and learning has also changed.

Dr Kevyn Yong, Chief Learning Officer, Singapore Institute of Management

Specialising in the areas of Strategic Leadership, Design Thinking, Change Management, and Agile Innovation, Kevyn has run numerous executive education programmes for corporations across a wide industry spectrum. Amongst his clients are UOB Bank, AIA Insurance, Nike, Danone, eBay, Thales, SATS, and others. Kevyn has been at the forefront of creative innovation, having worked in the likes of ESSEC Business School and Cornell University. Prior to joining the Singapore Institute of Management, Dr Yong was an Associate Professor of Management at HEC Paris and Associate Professor of Innovation and Entrepreneurship at ESSEC Business School, and also served as Dean of ESSEC Asia-Pacific.
 

Sara Yik, Chief Human Capital Officer, Singapore Institute of Management

Sara has over 20 years’ experience at CEO and Board level leading strategy and implementing large-scale performance improvement programs. She has worked extensively across Asia Pacific, Greater China, Europe and Middle East, and has held leadership roles for multi-million post-merger integrations, commercial excellence, portfolio management and performance improvement programs with MNCs such as Syngenta, Takeda, DSM and InterContinental Hotels Group. As a strategic advisor, she has led strategy development and large-scale implementation programs during her tenure at McKinsey and The Sariel Group.
