Course Overview

In this enlightening program, you will learn a systems approach and evidence-based data strategies to address performance gaps and initiate and sustain meaningful organizational change.

Course benefits

Through interactive, real-life workplace scenarios, you will acquire new knowledge on organizational development (OD) theory, models and frameworks that can be applied to organizations of all sizes in all sectors. You will compare and contrast OD and change management strategies, examine common use cases for OD, and evaluate the role of OD in achieving overall business objectives. Using a seven-phase action research framework, you will begin developing your organization’s OD strategy by aligning the workforce to meet critical business needs.

Programme leader

Tham Chien Ping (CP) is a practicing regional HR / OD leader and consultant. He has more than 10 years of combined experience in HR Business Partnering, Learning, Talent and Organisation Development locally and regionally in the Asia Pacific and South-East Asia region. He has worked in various HR roles in the Singapore Civil Service, Multi-National Corporations (IT, Medical, Insurance Brokerage & Professional Services), Banking & Finance Institutions and high-growth technology-driven Start-Ups.

He specialises in designing and conducting programs and solutions leveraging on various psychometric profiling tools and assessments. As a trained and certified counsellor and coach, CP has designed and led many initiatives and strategies in progressive HR practices to enhance and strengthen employee relationship and engagement as well as diversity and inclusion at the workplace. He also provides internal and external performance and career coaching to aspiring HR and business leaders to people managers and business leaders. He is also the Master Facilitator and Representative of SHRM, the biggest membership based HR professional body globally, for the South-East Asia region.


Derek Tan is a IHRP Master Professional with more than 25 years of professional HR experience in the entire suite of HR functions including the design and development of talent management, performance management, career development, capability development and total rewards systems.

Derek is currently a consultant and trainer. He was the Vice-President of HR in Resorts World at Sentosa Pte Ltd overseeing the strategic HR planning and human capital development for the entire resort. He had previously worked many years in the Singapore Public Service, having been the HR leader in Singapore Tourism Board, Central Provident Fund Board and the Civil Service College.

His extensive work experiences in the public and private sectors include rationalising manpower costs through organization re-design, job redesign and workforce productivity measures, enhancing organisational learning culture through inception of virtual learning academies with competency roadmaps & priority frameworks, improving employee experience through digitalisation of HR processes, raising the company’s EVP through deliberate HR policy re-think and career & salary re-design, and strengthening HR governance through education & continuous assessment.
