Course Overview

AI adoption, rising complexity, and shifting expectations demand leaders who navigate uncertainty with clarity, steadiness, and systemic awareness. Traditional transactional management is insufficient as teams face fragmented priorities, trust breakdowns and escalating psychological pressures. Drawing on Brené Brown's research on vulnerability, Otto Scharmer and others in the form of Theory U, the Trust Triangle, and the Fiends & Hero model, this programme builds Courageous Stewardship — a practical approach to leadership grounded in vulnerability, systemic thinking, and disciplined prioritisation.

Designed for new to mid-level managers, you'll learn to spot hidden resistance patterns, strengthen trust through the Trust Triangle and Energy/Impact Matrix, and execute with confidence using the Decide–Evaluate–Execute cycle.

Course benefits

By the end of this course, you will:

• Apply Theory U, the Trust Triangle and the Energy/Impact Matrix to recognise systemic patterns that influence team performance, trust and psychological safety.

• Identify their dominant internal derailers (VOJ, VOC, VOF) using the Fiends & Hero Discovery Tool and practise shifting among the Tank, Healer and Damage Dealer roles to influence team dynamics constructively.

• Demonstrate courageous leadership behaviours by operationalising vulnerability as a team-level capability, improving clarity, presence and emotional steadiness during high-pressure situations.

• Use the Decide–Evaluate–Execute leadership cycle—including CEO prioritisation tools such as Eisenhower Matrix, RICE scoring and the Focus Funnel—to make sound decisions, evaluate trade-offs and drive execution through the team effectively.

• Integrate insights from the capstone case study to diagnose complex team challenges and formulate a Courageous Steward Leadership Plan that aligns trust, clarity, vulnerability and execution discipline.

Through this course, you will be empowered with:

• Leaders create stronger psychological stability and execution clarity, enabling teams to perform with confidence and focus.

• Leaders diagnose trust breakdowns and systemic energy drains early, restoring alignment and strengthening collaboration under pressure.

• Organisations benefit from improved decision-making quality, clearer communication of priorities, and more accountable delegation practices.

• Teams experience sharper alignment on what truly matters, reduced time spent on low-impact work, and stronger focus on high-leverage activities.

• Vulnerability-informed leadership reduces defensive behaviours, accelerates learning and problem solving, and enhances cross-functional coordination.

• Organisations develop a future-ready leadership bench capable of integrating emotional intelligence, systemic awareness and prioritisation discipline to navigate complexity with clarity and courage.
