Course Overview

Embedded Finance is one of the fastest growing areas of Fintech that focuses on the strategy and implementation of financial services products for non-financial services companies. All type of firms across all industries now realise that introducing financial services options into their customer value propositions, which can massively enhance these value propositions and lead to greater profitability, is now possible due to advances in technology and product maturity. 

This interactive course will prepare and enable participants to learn about embedded finance from a strategic and practical perspective. Participants will get to learn about the different types of embedded finance solutions available, how they are structured and used in practice, how these solutions apply to different types of business models and the practical, strategic and management implications of implementing embedded finance options. 

Participants will come away with a strong understanding of the specific, relevant issues and considerations around implementing embedded finance options in their own organizations.

b. Defining and understanding the scope of embedded finance.

c. Understanding how leading companies are already applying embedded finance solutions in their business models.

2. Ecosystems and Partnerships Explained

a. Understanding key aspects of the embedded finance ecosystem such as banks, capital providers, technology providers, merchants / platforms and authorities.

b. Understanding the key elements of successful partnerships with embedded finance providers.

c. Understanding types of partnerships and applications in practice, with specific partner organizations mentioned.

d. Understanding organizational structure implications for practical implementation of embedded finance products and solutions.

3. Economic Models

a. Going deeper into the business and economic models that can be implemented through embedded finance, such as embedded banking, lending, payments, asset management and insurance.

b. Gaining understanding of the key aspects of the digital journeys that underpin these business and economic models.

c. Utilize a framework for determining whether it is suitable to implement embedded finance solutions.

4. Financial Services Primer

e. Exploring and understanding the technology changes that have led to ecosystem development, including the development of APIs to facilitate embedded finance

At Hyphen Group, Nawaz helps oversee every element of firm strategy; commercial, marketing, product and technology as well as general corporate and organisational strategy. 

Prior to Hyphen Group, Nawaz was the Founder and CEO of a B2B, capital markets related enterprise software company called Issufy. Before moving into the Fintech industry, Nawaz spent a decade in investment banking and asset management at Citi and J.P. Morgan. Nawaz is a recognized global expert in the financial technology arena.
