The Singapore Institute of Management (SIM) recently led a delegation to Australia, marking an introductory visit by its new Provost, Professor Jorg Bley, to key university partners.

The visit underscored SIM’s commitment to strengthening regional partnerships and exploring new avenues for collaboration.

Across four institutions - RMIT University, Monash College, the University of Sydney, and the University of Wollongong - the delegation engaged with senior leadership teams to exchange insights and identify opportunities in education, research, and student development.

At RMIT, discussions with Vice-Chancellor Professor Alec Cameron and senior leaders included potential collaborations with the STEM College, alongside tours of the EdTech Studio and advanced manufacturing facilities. The visit to Monash College focused on an exchange of ideas to strengthen the partnership with CEO Fabian Marrone and his team.

At the University of Sydney, Professor John Prins, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Health and senior leaders from the faculty discussed developments in healthcare education with the SIM delegation, complemented by a tour of the University of Sydney campus. The delegation also visited the University of Wollongong, where they met Professor Joe Chicharo OM, Interim Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Vice-President (Growth and Global), other senior leaders, and connected with SIM exchange learners currently studying in Wollongong.

The visit reflects SIM’s ongoing efforts to deepen international partnerships and enhance learning pathways.
