The new Cyber Resilience: Detect. Defend. Deter. programme equips professionals with practical tools to anticipate evolving scam tactics, respond effectively under pressure, and build stronger defences against cyber risks.

Last week, SIM Academy hosted our latest L&D Briefing, “Protecting Your Organisation in a Rapidly Evolving Cyber Threat Landscape.” The session convened leaders and cybersecurity experts to address one of today’s most pressing challenges: safeguarding organisations against increasingly complex and sophisticated cyber threats.

The event opened with a sharing by Mr. JJ Sor, Director at Stone Cybersecurity, who shared critical insights into the top cybersecurity trends for 2025 and beyond. His presentation highlighted the importance of anticipating new threat vectors and staying agile in a constantly shifting digital environment.

SIM Academy hosted our latest L&D Briefing, “Protecting Your Organisation in a Rapidly Evolving Cyber Threat Landscape.

A thought-provoking panel discussion followed, featuring Mr. Roger Tan, Assistant Vice President, Information Technology; Mr. Shumit Gupta, Head of IT at SIM; and Mr. Ho Seong Kim, CEO of SIM Academy. The panel emphasised how organisations can strengthen their frontline of defence by empowering employees and embedding a culture of cyber vigilance across the workforce.

Participants walked away with practical strategies to:

  • Align cybersecurity priorities with overall business objectives
  • Cultivate a workforce ready to detect and respond to threats
  • Foster resilience in the face of an evolving risk landscape

The discussions underscored a key message: cyber threats are no longer just an IT concern—they are critical business risks that can impact trust, reputation, and continuity.

For organisations seeking to take the next step in building cyber resilience, SIM Academy has launched the new Cyber Resilience: Detect. Defend. Deter. programme, developed in collaboration with the Singtel Cybersecurity Institute, part of the SkillsFuture Queen Bee network. The course equips professionals with practical tools to anticipate evolving scam tactics, respond effectively under pressure, and build stronger defences against cyber risks.
