Building on 39 Years of Partnership as SIM and RMIT Look Towards a Shared Future

The Singapore Institute of Management (SIM) welcomed RMIT Chancellor Ms Peggy O’Neal AO for her first visit to SIM and first attendance at an RMIT graduation ceremony at the institution. The visit provided an opportunity for senior leaders from both institutions to reaffirm their longstanding partnership, explore new areas of collaboration and look ahead to its 40th anniversary in 2027.

A partnership shaped by a shared commitment to lifelong learning

On 26 August 2026, the Singapore Institute of Management (SIM) welcomed Ms Peggy O’Neal AO, Chancellor of RMIT University, for her first visit to SIM and first attendance at an RMIT graduation ceremony held at the institution.

The visit marked 39 years of partnership between SIM and RMIT, built on a shared commitment to education and lifelong learning. Ms O’Neal also met with Ms Euleen Goh, SIM Chairman, with a gift exchange reflecting the strong relationship and spirit of collaboration between the two institutions.

Creating opportunities that connect education and the future

Through its partnership with RMIT, SIM offers undergraduate programmes in Business, Accounting, Professional Communication, Graphic Design, Construction Management and Aviation, as well as a postgraduate programme in Energy Efficient and Sustainable Building.

The partnership continues to create diverse learning pathways that respond to the evolving needs of students, industry and society, while enabling learners to develop knowledge and skills for the future.

Looking beyond the next milestone

The visit also provided an opportunity for both institutions to discuss new areas of collaboration and how the partnership can continue to meet the evolving needs of learners in Singapore and across the region.

Representing SIM were Ms Euleen Goh, Chairman; Professor Wei Kwok Kee, PCEO; Professor Jorg Bley, Provost; and Ms Mary Lee, Director, APDM.

The RMIT delegation includes Ms Peggy O’Neal AO, Chancellor; Mr Layton Pike, Vice President International; Mr Nick Scorborough, Director, International; and Mr Bernard Oh, Senior Advisor, International (SE Asia).
