2023 SIM OAC Vietnam - Event Highlights

Xin Chào! The SIM Vietnamese Alumni gathered at the last Friday's 2023 SIM Overseas Alumni Chapter (OAC) event in Vietnam after three years of pandemic restrictions.

The event was held at the beautiful Sheraton Saigon Hotel and Towers in Ho Chi Minh City. The OAC event gave alumni an opportunity to reconnect with old friends while establishing new ones, as well as provided them with a chance to be updated on the recent on-goings at SIM.

The night started with a warm welcome note from Mr Gerald Lum, Director, Brand, Marketing & Communications, SIM, to introduce SIM's refreshed SIM brand and share the purpose of SIM OAC. We also witnessed the appointment of OAC Pro Tem President, Mr Sonny Le and Secretary, Ms Tiffany Ngyuen, who will grow the overseas SIM Alumni community in Vietnam.

Mr Sonny Le, CEO of Giftee, shared his insights on the '10 Leadership Traits in the Future of Work'. He emphasised the importance of collaborating within a global organisation, demonstrating high emotional intelligence, having empathy with employees and embracing innovation and creativity. Meanwhile, Mr Vo Duy Phu, Co-Founder of Koina Investment Group and The Coffee House, also shared his personal learning journey from failure to success based on his life experiences.

The night ended with a scrumptious networking dinner and we're grateful to everyone who attended and helped make it possible. We can't wait to see you all again at our next event!
