Sneha believes that one of her biggest achievements has been finding her true worth in the arts. "I'm very much into dancing and playing musical instruments. I'm a trained classical dancer. I started off with Bharatnatyam when I was about three years old back in India. I am now pursuing another form of dance called Kathak. I've got an honors in keyboards and my keen interest in other instruments have led me to learn the guitar and piano," she adds. Engaging in arts has taught Sneha to express her true self freely. In SIM, she has been given an opportunity to lead the SIM Indian Society (SIS) as the President of the club. This club aims to develop bonds of friendship and support the Indian student community while bringing diverse cultures and traditions of India to SIM GE. “SIM Indian Society is more like a second family to me. It has been a platform where I can not only showcase my talents, I can also help others to showcase theirs. I plan events for other students and also learn a lot of new things which I never thought I would have learned at this age. Most importantly, I have made many friends,” she says. Despite taking part in many activities, Sneha never neglects her studies. Her recipe for success is doing the things that she enjoys. “Studying in SIM is the best choice because of its the multi-dimensional curriculum provided by the different partner universities and the exceptional teaching faculty who are our motivators and guiding light in every step that we take of our learning.” “This course that I took up in SIM-RMIT has helped me to get a better understanding of the subjects that are very important for my career. It has allowed me to broaden my horizon and develop an inquisitive mind. The course has enabled me to understand the real world in-depth, and it is shaping me into an individual who will be ready to take on any kind of challenge that is given.” After completing her degree studies, Sneha wants to pursue her masters. She hopes to be successful person who will make her parents proud. Posted online, 05 September 2018
