SBF Entrepreneurship Development Centre Pte Ltd

Both Ms Goh and Mr Ee are former bankers who left their comfortable and secure jobs to become their own bosses and set up several small businesses.  They are Managing Consultants of the SBF Group of Companies and are involved in training, advising and assisting business people in matters such as evaluation of business potential and viability, identifying and structuring banking needs, organisational restructuring and business start-ups.  They have counselled and assisted many aspirant entrepreneurs venturing into their own business.

 

Chung Ting Fai

Mr Chung was previously a Managing Partner of Messrs Chung, Tan and Partners. His practice covers a wide range of commercial related matters with a slant towards intellectual property.  Apart from his legal work, Ting Fai is frequently invited to speak at business forums and in international seminars. He was been invited to address the Shanghai Intellectual Property Source Center in April 2005 on Intellectual Property Protection in ASEAN. He is also frequently invited to speak at seminars on doing business in China and Singapore. From 2005, he was invited to be an adjunct lecturer in Intellectual Property at Nanyang Technological University for the Master of Science Technopreneurship and Innovation Program (Chinese) 2006. Besides his work, Ting Fai is active in community work. He heads the Hong Kong Community in Singapore as President of Kowloon Club. He was conformed the Public Service Medal in 2000 and appointed as Assistant Registrar of Marriage in 2006.

 

Derrick Tham

eNETS Pte Ltd

Derrick Tham has been in the payments industry since 2000, and has more than 6 years experience in both e-commerce and POS payment solutions. He previously worked in the merchant services teams in UOB and AMEX before joining eNETS in 2005. Derrick manages the e-commerce regional Asia Pacific sales team in eNETS and doubled the growth of both merchant acquisition and revenue volumes since his arrival.  He is currently responsible for the sale of eNETS' e-commerce services to Singapore-based Small and Medium Enterprises, and has contributed significantly to increased sales and productivity to his merchants through the introduction of Internet-based payment solutions.  With Derrick's contributions in developing sales strategies and in managing the sales force, the eNETS merchant base has grown to more than 2000 merchants in the short time he has been with the team.  Today, these volumes and performance place eNETS in the position of the No. 1 e-commerce payment gateway in Singapore.


Wing Wei Tuck

CEO, ChainFusion Ltd

Wong Wei Tuck founded ChainFusion Limited in January 2000. It first began by operating one of the first online credit card acquiring services through Citibank. ChainFusion Limited is the leading Supply Chain software company in Singapore empowering MNCs like Sony, Hewlett Packard, Epson, Standard Chartered bank, Informatics and mainboard listed companies. Before founding ChainFusion, Mr. Wong was the Marketing Manager working for Sony Electronics Inc’s Value Added Products Division in San Jose, Silicon Valley, developing new innovative data storage products. Prior to this, he was the Regional Sales Manager for Sony Electronics Singapore. Under his leadership, Sony's branded data storage and computer peripheral market share improved tremendously in Asia Pacific and South Africa. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree (Electrical) from the National University of Singapore and a Masters of Business (International Marketing) from Curtin University of Technology

 


Yap Lee Yee

Senior Manager, eBay South East Asia

Yap Lee Yee is the Senior Manager for the Marketplace Development division of eBay Southeast Asia (SEA).  Lee Yee and her team is focus on the acquisition, development, retention of eBay Southeast Asia sellers selling to the world and program management.  Since Lee Yee joined eBay, she has been instrumental in developing the overall business and execution plans for cross-border seller acquisition. She has been successful in establishing partnerships and rolling out localized tools and education material to assist local sellers to sell to the world. Lee Yee has over 13 years of experience in program/project management, business process re-engineering, Customer Relationship Management, Supply Change Management, change management and identification and implementation of cost reduction, operations improvement and TQM programs.  Prior to joining eBay, Lee Yee worked for high performance MNCs such as HP, Microsoft, PricewaterhouseCoopers and Visa International.  Her work involved directing and managing projects across Asia, North America and Europe.  Lee Yee’s career history demonstrates the delivery of quality large-scale projects, improvement in customer satisfaction by over 15% and efficiency by as much as 50%.  She leverages her previous experience across the globe and region to assist local SMEs in expanding their business overseas, while integrating risk management and security in the framework.

 

Mark Yoong

eBay PowerSeller

Mark has been an eBay Member since 24th Dec 1998. From 1999 till 2003 he has been a casual buyer scouting for great deals all over eBay. On February 2003, he made his 1st profit on eBay by selling a pair of limited edition sneakers. From then on, Mark looked at eBay in a different light and began to sell to the World through eBay. From Feb 2003 till date, Mark has sold over 5000 items and counting on eBay. Mid Year 2003, Mark was awarded a Silver Powerseller Status on eBay and has never looked back since.

 

 

Tay Kok Chin

E-Commerce Consultant

Kok Chin is a veteran in the Infocomm and Communication technology (ICT) industry with a focus in e-business. He has been involved in Internet and e-commerce projects with MNCs prior to starting his own home based business offering consulting services for start-up companies. With an extensive network around the world, he is currently engaged by Stratech Systems to expand globally via channel development through entrepreneurial and innovative approaches to partnership. He is also a part-time lecturer on e-Commerce for the University of London external degree offered by SIM.
