Founded in 1846, the University at Buffalo (UB) is the largest and most comprehensive university centre in the 64-campus State University of New York system. Recognised as one of North America’s leading research-intensive universities, UB is home to the world-renowned Roswell Park Cancer Institute, the New York State Centre of Excellence in Bioinformatics and Life Sciences, and nationally-ranked programmes in business, engineering, geographic information systems (GIS), and the medical and pharmaceutical sciences.
