Imminent .
Hello!
Chinese New Year in less than a month! Have you started spring cleaning your houses? Or should I be asking about the goodies and clothes shopping? My mom brought home pineapple tarts and mini sambal shrimp rolls last Friday night, but they are almost all gone now… Oops!
Valentine’s Day is coming up pretty soon too. If you’re very single like me, be glad, because we’re gonna save quite a bit of money! Yay!
Shortly after Valentine’s Day and CNY would be the prelims. One of my lecturers advised that we should start studying really hard now till then so that we could have a nice break during CNY, and not try to cramp in everything only after CNY. Word!
Meanwhile, I’m STILL trying to gain momentum. I’m doing all I can to fight procrastination, such as revising in environment conducive to studying (e.g. school library, study rooms and student lounge), setting realistic goals, starting early, breaking down the tasks, and constantly clearing my self doubts. This thing called inertia is deadly. I have to kill it before it gets the best of me!
Nowadays, I’m doing a lot of thrift shopping for snacks. They’re my favourite studying buddies.
98 days till my first paper.

My study buddies this week:
Blueberry tartlets.
By Arnott's.$1.35 for packet of 12. While Tim Tams probably make better stress busters, these tartlets are definitely less likely to give you a sore throat than their chocolatey counterparts. LOL!
I used to be known as the "Tim Tam girl" back in the office where I used to work part time. There's an absolutely mortifying story behind that, but that's a story for another time.

Marshmallow. $1 for a pretty big packet. Tasted a bit funny though.
Anyone out there heard of "s'mores"? I learnt about them in a discussion thread dominated by Americans and Canadians. A s'more is a campfire treat consisting of roasted marshmallow and chocolate sandwiched between crackers. We were sharing stories at the discussion thread when someone commented that we should just start a campfire and make "s'mores", especially since they were having summer break. <3 Everyone went, "Mmmmm!"
For me, they're quite common during church BBQs, but I had no idea they have such a cute name! (s'more= some more~ give me some more!)
------------
The other day, I noticed an absolutely adorable pencil case my friend owns.

"Me too" sounds like such a funny name.
"Too" sounds like "tu", which just means rabbit in chinese. ('.')

The girl in front also has a rabbit pencil case.

I'm grateful to be alive and living with dignity.
My prayers are with the Haitians.
If your heart aches for them too, I strongly encourage you to listen to your conscience and make a donation!
