SIM appoints chief digital officer to drive SIM’s digital and infrastructural capabilities

Mr Ho Seong Kim has joined SIM as Chief Digital Solutions, Platform & Infrastructure Officer starting from 13 April 2020. He will be driving the new Infrastructure and Platform Group which oversees SIM’s digital platforms and campus operations. Under his leadership and vision, the group will look into building and operating SIM’s digital and infrastructural capabilities that will strengthen, differentiate and grow SIM’s learning programmes and solutions at scale across both the pre-employment training as well as the continuing education and training space.

SIM’s President and Chief Executive Officer, Mr Seah Chin Siong, welcomes Mr Ho’s appointment as a timely addition to SIM’s pool of expertise: “At a time when the digital wave is on an exciting ascent and individuals and enterprises are looking, but often struggling, to capitalise on the immense opportunities it offers, Mr Ho’s expertise and experience in digital transformation coupled with his strong people development skills will be a huge asset to SIM. Not only will he help SIM realise our own digital transformation, he will also position us to leverage innovative digital platforms to provide cutting-edge learning solutions for individuals and enterprises, which at the same time will allow learners to curate and track their learning for life.”

Mr Ho has 25 years of consulting experience in transforming businesses through innovation and digital adoption. Prior to joining SIM, he was leading Accenture’s ASEAN Communications, Media and High Tech business group. His responsibilities included defining and executing the group’s growth strategy, developing new and maintaining client relationships, orchestrating go-to-market strategies and plans, and acquiring new talent and reskilling existing talent. 

Mr Ho is passionate about helping clients transit to digitalisation through the adoption of artificial intelligence and analytics to improve the effectiveness of their sales campaigns. He believes that companies can transform their operations and scale rapidly through implementing digital productivity tools and automation, and has successfully delivered multiple large-scale complex transformation projects through his skilful collaboration across several business units. He has been recognised as a people-oriented leader and a strong people developer who is able to draw top talents to work for him.
