SIM collaborated with Singularity University (SU) to present the inaugural SU Roundtable on exponential strategy development at the The Ritz-Carlton, Millenia Singapore.
SU is renowned as a global learning and innovation community and faculty that uses exponential technologies like AI, robotics, and digital biology and strategies to transform and solve the world’s pressing problems. Held over two days, March 25 & 26, the conference tapped on SU’s expertise and unique pedagogy to help high-growth enterprises develop a keen understanding of these exponential technologies to kick-start their capability development.
Commenting on the partnership and conference, Ms Euleen Goh, Chairman of the SIM Governing Council said: “We are excited to partner SU in bringing this forum to help local businesses gain deep insights into the future of the economy driven by technological and digital changes. With this conference, companies can sharpen their foresight and better drive the development of strategic directions and business plans.”
The conference signifies a broader partnership between SIM and SU to help local businesses, especially SMEs, gain knowledge and confidence to envision new business models for scaling up and taking the next leap by leveraging emerging technologies. This is in line with the Singapore Government’s Industry 4.0 technological push to be a Smart Nation and grow SMEs to be the future drivers of the economy.
The conference will be the start of an ongoing engagement with individuals and businesses to help them act on their business transformation plans. As part of the conference alumni network, participants will be inducted into the SIM Professional Development (PD) - SU global learning community where members can collaborate and learn from one another to create an innovative ecosystem to drive impactful changes. They will also continually benefit from SIM PD’s suite of programmes, masterclasses and industry visits to learn global industries’ best practices and strategies.
The SU Roundtable is after all, about sparking the imagination and transforming the way enterprises work, rally, upskill and pump up their people’s innovative thinking, to make that confident leap into the future.
