SIM – UB graduates told: Sharpen your tools and skills

27 Jul 2017

The bright sunny day was a reflection of the boisterous mood of the 1395 graduates and their guests at the SIM - University at Buffalo (UB), the State University of New York’s Commencement ceremony on 21st July.

This year’s graduating cohort of 473 students saw 63% of them graduating with Latin Honours. Of these, seventy graduated summa cum laude (with highest honour).

Dr Lee Kwok Cheong, CEO of SIM Global Education shared with graduates that the degree and the hard and soft skills they had acquired are but just tools that they have in their hands. Dr Lee urged the graduates to be like craftsmen “and for any craftsman to be really good at what he does, he has to learn how to use his tools well in every situation, and to keep sharpening his tools and his skills through hard work and experience.”

SIM is UB’s largest overseas partner and has been offering its undergraduate degrees for the past thirteen years.
