Cheer on our SIM Athletes at SEA Games and World University Games

28 Aug 2017

Twenty-one of our SIM athletes are taking a shot at bringing glory to our nation at two key sporting events this August.

Held in Kuala Lumpur from 19 to 30 August, the 29th Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games) is seeing the largest Singapore contingent of 569 athletes taking part in 35 sports. Among them, seven SIM GE athletes are competing in seven sports, namely, archery, basketball, fencing, hockey, rugby, waterpolo and wushu.

Concurrently, the biennial World University Games (WUG), also known as Summer Universiade, is being held in Taipei.  Out of a total of 72 Singapore university athletes participating, 15 are from SIM GE and they are competing in 10 sports.

For the 2015 SEA Games held on home ground, our students hauled a total of 22 medals in sports such as swimming, archery and floorball, the best achievement ever in individual and team sports.

We are very proud of our athletes' participation at this year’s games and we wish them all the best!

Cheer on our seven athletes at the SEA Games!
