Start-up founders, industry experts and investors descended on SIM Management House at Namly Avenue for the much anticipated unveiling of The Space, the latest addition to the Platform E ecosystem.
The Space features both single-user hotdesks and private suites for larger teams.
Meeting rooms offer a conducive environment for discussion, brainstorming and cross-pollination of ideas.
Spanning 25,000 sq ft, The Space is a dedicated co-working space tailored to offer a complete entrepreneurship experience, with business support facilities, collaboration and co-creation rooms and recreational areas.
The Space will eventually span two floors of Management House to house 230 desks with 180 desks in Phase 2 to be completed in 2018. Before the opening of the first phase of The Space, all the 50 desks available were already taken up.
Start-ups who are there value not just the open, comfortable and inspiring work space but also the lush and relaxing surroundings that it’s nestled in. At the unveiling of The Space, Alan Wong, Chief Executive Officer of Platform E, said the most important feature entrepreneurs value is the learning environment The Space provides as part of the ecosystem of programme participants, coaches, mentors and other start-ups.
