On 20 July, some 1219 graduates and guests celebrated a raft of achievements at the SIM - University at Buffalo (UB), the State University of New York Commencement ceremony.
This year's graduating cohort of 414 students saw 70% of them graduate with Latin Honours. Of these, 74 graduated with summa cum laude (with highest honour).
In his opening, speech, Dr Lee Kwok Cheong, CEO of SIM Holdings urged graduates to have courage, grit, an adventurous spirit and a lot of humility to navigate the brave new world. Dr Lee urged the graduates to achieve their full potential by building on their strengths and overcome weaknesses, and to continue to learn and grow to make a positive difference for themselves, their professions and their communities.
SIM is UB's largest overseas partner and has been offering its undergraduate degree programmes for the past fourteen years.
