SIM Global Education (SIM GE) received the Outstanding Community Integration Fund (CIF) Project Award at the inaugural National Integration Council (NIC) Awards and Appreciation Dinner held on 30 November 2016.

The award is given to recipients from the people, private and public (3P) sectors whose initiatives promote and foster greater social integration between locals and non-locals. These initiatives, which are supported by the CIF, were carried out between April 2014 and March 2016.

Breaking Boundaries is an orientation programme helmed by the SIM GE Student Care Department. It helps new international students settle in by providing an engaging line-up of programmes, such as experiential tours to the heartlands and cultural places of interest. The programme also pairs students with SIM Peer Mentors who will assist them during the transitional period.
